what to expect with private chef service
Step 1 - Consultation
First, I’d like to get to know you. If you are like most people, food is personal and associated with all kinds of sensory needs and perceptions. It’s what sustains us. I want to make sure we get this part right. We will begin with a complimentary, no-obligation consultation via phone, email or in person.
During this consultation, we’ll determine any dietary requirements or restrictions, personal taste preferences and best menu options for you and your family. All of my menus can be adapted for your dietary concerns.
Step 2 - Menu Creation & Approval
After our initial meeting, I will provide you with a custom menu designed around your specific requirements, budget, and preferences. You’ll have an opportunity to review and approve your menu and make any desired changes. After your final menu is approved, we will book a service date and get started.
Step 3 - Provisioning
Before your service date arrives, I will hand select the freshest and highest quality ingredients for your meal. I like to source locally from tried-and-true providers and use seasonal ingredients whenever possible. This helps keep costs down and provides you with the highest level of nutrition.
Step 4 - In-Home Meal Preparation
Now, the fun begins! I will arrive at your home with equipment and groceries to freshly create your meals. Each meal will be cooked, packaged, labeled and stored with complete handling and heating instructions - ready for you to enjoy at your convenience. The best part is, your kitchen will be left clean and sparkling, as if I was never there.
It’s that easy to have freshly prepared meals, ready to go any time you need.
Please note: I am certified by ServeSafe, the national restaurant association as a food protection manager.
During the covid-19 pandemic, I have had several people ask about food safety. As a culinary trained chef and ServSafe ANSI-certified food protection manager, I use accepted food safety procedures and maintain a sanitized work area at all times. This is a standard part of my service to you.
